began Spanglish How Fly?

- Spanglish Fly started because I wanted to play music Boogaloo. I think it's the best music there is!. And I concentrated for a long time to find musicians who would like to join this project. A whole band loves this music and we work well together and there it went. When we started to have gigs, the fans responded. I think New York has been waiting for a band "full time" for a long time Boogaloo.

Fly You think Spanglish is generating new interest in this genre?

- Well, we are introducing the music to some who did not know the Boogaloo before, and we are playing well for people who have been waiting to hear this music live. Sometimes we get some old people say "wow, this is the music of my youth, thanks" and we are very pleased because in fact the music Boogaloo disappeared in the 70's when salsa took a lot of momentum and that has not been Boogaloo bands since.
