X of London Group was formed in 1996 by trombonist / composer Jonny Enright. The combination of settled sounds of the 60 and 70 and the influence of Latin music in New York created in the X group a unique sound in the UK.
Music Group X is defined by its highly rated albums, Posure (2001) and Food For Your Latin Soul (2006) and successful vinyl releases on Attic Records, the New Love and X-remix (2008).
His last album, X Mixed Group again (LOFT 2008), gives a fresh angle on favorite tunes, and a first release for the classic track "lost" Independence of You Dream.
With shares with trombonist Jimmy Bosch ( View Video ) X Group won a good reputation for many people, permeating strong traits in his music of Jazz and Latin music .
They have graced the stage with artists including percussionist Johnny Blas and Bobby Matos, the late Cuban pianist Alfredo Rodriguez, vibration legend Dave Pike, singer / drummer Jimmy Sabater and Frankie Morales sonero, "trombone el-Creole, "Jimmy Bosch," and Mr. Bongo "Jack Costanzo with whom they also appeared at the Festival North Sea Jazz 2003.
x Group has been presented internationally including Louie Vega, Bobbito Garcia, Gilles Peterson, Patrick Forge, Rainer Truby, Jazzanova, Snowboy, Nicola Conte, Group X with his songs and good music has featured on numerous compilations, including: Snowboy Presents the Hi-Hat (Eight), Viva Cubop II (Cubop), For Adults Only (Hall), Utter (will show), a bit of music in the night (Gloria) On track (do good) Beginner's Guide to Latin (Nascente) and Beginner's Guide to Salsa (Nascente).
In 2007, the Group X track, "Bugalu Jonny" was licensed for the summer TV DSW Shoes / commercial radio, through the U.S.
