COLON ORCHESTRA

Colon Orchestra, was a huge "Kick Ass" salsa band in New York in the 1970's that arises in the Bronx. Led by trumpeter GUS COLON, this was one of many bands from NY not let them get through monopoly FANIA although it was not known at the beginning of his career, was one of the first orchestras in the history which is composed Young and records for one of the major record companies of America. Tikizia They are a group of exceptional Rican musicians, led by Walter Flores and Alfredo Poveda, dedicated to rescue the music 'Salsa' which was done late 70's and early 80's, where each band had their own sound and was the playing of each musician is responsible for giving the 'flavor' of its own to each song.

His first production, " Salsa Dura Pa 'Los Pies " which contains original songs, has been acclaimed in various media, including Los Angeles Magazine Latinbeat and Jaime Torres of the newspaper El Nuevo Dia in Puerto Rico .

Walter Flores, a graduate in music at the Conservatorio de Castella and the University of Costa Rica, Rubén Blades has worked for over 12 years and as a musician, producer and conductor with "Son of Tikizia", \u200b\u200b"Editus Ensamble" and "Seis del Solar." It also has to be 2 and 1 Anglo Grammys Latin Grammy as a music producer and sound engineer for the albums "World" and "Time" by Rubén Blades, who also have music composed by Walter. Alfredo Poveda studied at the National Institute of Music and graduated University of Costa Rica. Marcial Flores graduated from the National Institute of Music and BA in Trombone. It is the principal trombonist of the National Band of San José, Professor of SINEM trombone at the School of Music Are Homeless and trombonist of Tikizia. Miguel Rojas

has studies at the Municipal Conservatory of Alajuela Teachers and Ramses Araya (Costa Rica) and Marvin Diz (Cuba). He has accompanied great masters of percussion: Ralph Irizarry, and Giovanni Hidalgo.
. Allan Estrada
studied Latin percussion at the National University. He has served as teacher, director, performer and composer. Has integrated groups: Gaviota, Timbaleo, Erick Sanchez y su Orquesta, singer / songwriter Luis Angel Castro and Orquesta Son Mayor. He has also accompanied international artists such as Ismael Miranda, Maelo Ruiz, Tito Nieves, Jimmy Bosch and Ruben Blades.

Rafael Angel "Pangui" Mora began his experience in the group stage with The Playmates, then in Los Gatos, Karibu and Latin Train. At 18 he entered a group which has made music history in Costa Rica "The Shining." Mora has accompanied Celia Cruz, Cheo Feliciano, Ismael Miranda, Oscar de Leon, Jimmy Bosch and Ruben Blades. has studies as a flutist at the Conservatory of Alajuela and the National University of Costa Rica. In 2004 began studying bass with Marco Ortiz, after participating as a guest on the National Youth Orchestra. Since 2000 he teaches wind instruments, and heads a Banda Municipal. César

he studied Fumero at the Conservatorio de Castella and the University of Costa Rica. Participates in various chamber music ensembles, and the Symphonic Band and University Symphony Orchestra of Costa Rica.
